I was looking on the internet the other day and found a beer pong game that is on stand instead of a table.. the stands are like a tripod and have triangles on the top for the pong cups.. there are two stands that are not connected and can be placed at any distance away from each other.. this isnt a table… i would really appreciate any help because I am trying really hard to get this as a gift for someone who has a birthday coming up
thanks alot jt for your answer.. this looks like a great product.. the one I saw was different though so if anyone could help me out that’d be great otherwise tosspong is a great alternative.. thanks jt

My parents say that they never used to play pong when they grew up, that they only used to play quarters. I was just wondering when the game of beer pong game about. There are so many different types of pong it seems to me that it must have been around forever.
Paddle-less beer pong evolved from the original beer pong, which some say has its origins within the drinking culture of the Dartmouth College fraternities in the 1950s and ’60s. The original version resembled an actual ping pong game with one or more cups of beer on each side of the table. Eventually, a version without paddles was created, and later the name "Beirut" was adopted in some areas sometime in the 1980s.

I have several questions regarding beer pong…
First when ending the game if someone one one team makes the ball into the other team’s last cup, then both people on the other team have the chance to shoot again (unless both people on the other team make the ball in)?
Then, what happens if both people on the other team make the ball in the ramaing 4 or 5 cups… do they get to go again? What happens if JUST the second person makes the ball in once… or another time when they go again? Does it go to overtime?
When does the game go to overtime?
I’ll assume you’re talking about Beirut, the drinking game where you throw ping-pong balls into cups and no paddles are involved.
First, if team A has one cup left and one person from team B makes the cup, both members of team A get a rebuttal, where they each get to shoot until they miss. If team A has one cup left and BOTH members of team B make the cup, it depends on house rules — some people will say team A gets no rebuttal, but I’m of the philosophy that the other team should always get a rebuttal.
So, if both people on team A hit all of team B’s remaining cups during rebuttal, there is an overtime. They don’t get to go again because there are no more cups left. If just the second person makes the ball in a cup, that one person gets to shoot until he misses, so he can in fact make all 5 cups and force an overtime.
In overtime, the standard rules are each team gets three new cups and unlimited re-racks. One beer on each side. The team that first got all the other team’s cups (in our case, team B) gets to go first. If one side makes all the other side’s cups, the other side gets a rebuttal. If during the rebuttal the team makes the rest of the other team’s cups, you have another three cup overtime.
If the third overtime ends in a tie, you have another overtime that is like that start of a new game (10 cups or 6 cups, depending on what you played). You keep going until a winner is declared.
And remember — the game is Beirut. No, it isn’t a regional difference. Beer pong is a game involving beer, cups, and paddles. Beirut has no paddles. It’s a common mistake so don’t feel bad, just be enlightened! Happy playing.

My boyfriend and I are trying to open a bar in Oklahoma. We have heard that it is illegal to play beer pong in a bar in OK, but we know of some bars that currently have it. How is that possible? Also we are needing to know if there are any other drinking games that would be legal to play and if so what/how are they?
this is just a shot in the dark, but what if you set it up so it was just slightly different from regular beer pong…like you had people throwing balls into cups, but didnt actually put the beer in the cups, that way you could argue that its no different from darts or pool in other bars
